Core Data
The CSD Survey System
The Cooperating School Districts has compiled survey reports
on personnel data, salaries, leaves, benefits, and financial comparisons for
distribution to member districts for many years. Before 1991, there were a number
of separate reports, including the 'St. Louis County Annual School Report' which
included district contact as well as financial information. The 'Additional
Pay for Extracurricular Activities' report was also very popular. In the 1990-91
school year, CSD moved to a 'state of the art' personal computer diskette-based
system that merged the various separate surveys onto a single diskette.
In the 2000-01 school year, CSD again moved forward, along with
its business partner, Cybermill
Communications, by pioneering an Internet- based survey. This system was
designed to use the latest encryption techniques to insure security and to have
centralized control over the data to provide rapid turn-around of reports.
Today the Internet- based survey system collects data and prints
reports in the following general areas:
- District Information
(District contact information, district classification, class sizes, employee
census, insurance information.)
- Financial Data
(Transportation of students, income, expense information.)
CSD is proud of its history of providing comparative information
to its member districts so that they can have useful information for making
important decisions.
