Cooperating School Districts
Enhancing Opportunities
Cooperating School Districts (CSD) is a non-profit educational
service agency that brings school districts together to share resources, information
and ideas. CSD offers high quality services in such areas as educational technology,
staff development, teacher recruitment, cooperative purchasing, legislation,
video production, character education and school public relations. As an education
consortium, CSD serves 62 member school districts in nine Missouri counties
and in two Illinois counties.
Cooperating School Districts is a proactive voice for education. It is staffed
with dedicated professionals who bring together resources and leadership to
achieve excellence for all students and all schools. CSD hosts national conferences,
offers a myriad of workshops, and convenes other meetings for educators - all
of which provide a network of best practices in a variety of areas. CSD is a
voluntary, membership-driven organization owned and governed by 30 school districts
in the St. Louis metropolitan area. More than 30 additional public school districts
receive services through membership in CSD.
CSD contracts with the St. Louis Regional Professional Development Center for
quality staff development opportunities for teachers, administrators and support
staff. The St. Louis RPDC is one of nine state centers established for the continuous
growth of educators from recruitment to retirement.
